Monday, February 3, 2014 - Two Big Syrahs for the Big Game (Watching the SuperBowl): Opened and allowed to breath for about an hour (it needed more, but this was a last minute decision). Purple in color, shining and bright. The nose is great with black and red raspberries, white pepper, a bit of grilled meats. Full bodied. Smooth with no sign of alcohol or heat. Great velvety texture. The flavors jump deftly on the palate. Tightly wound, it kept unwinding as the night progressed. Still quite young and needs plenty of time at this point. Just delicious though.
