Saturday, October 27, 2012 - Good wine, but not great. Decanted for two hour and drank over four. It never lost the heat and bite of alcohol on the nose and finish. Deep dark color, and a good "Syrah" nose of dark berries and a touch of meat. Complexity seemed to be missing, and the mouthfeel wasn't as supple and smooth as prior Saxums. I kept wanting more, but this never delivered.
