90 Points

Friday, April 10, 2009 - I bought 2 bottles of this wine after it won the first Jungers/Jacquart Wine Club Cab tasting back in '99. The first was consumed in 2000 and now this was the second, over 9 years later. We did not decant. The Raymond Reserve (at least from the stellar '97 Vintage) is still a very good wine - particularly for the money. It did show signs that it is not getting better as it had less fruit than it certainly used to but it has aged into a far more subtle wine - more french in character than California I thought.
