90 Points

Saturday, November 6, 2010 - Very light feminine style wine, but abundant fruit nose reminiscent of tart cherry clafoutis with some zest. There is additional depth, and earthiness with leathery notes that developed after being open 30-45min. I agree with a previous note from some time ago, that the texture is best described as silky. Tannins are present but not as apparent at initial opening and and seem to grow over first hour, the are not biting and fade a bit in the moderate ( & warm) length finish. Color is defiantly orange on the edges trending to brown. very little sediment in our bottle.

Thought I'd Love to hold on to more of this for future, it is a lovely mature wine now. Drink it now.

Even with being a lighter style, this wine held it's own with Braised Oxtail in Red Wine sauce with Truffled Mashed Potatoes.
While the wine was enjoyable on it's own, it seemed more expressive with the richness of the food.
