Tuesday, April 9, 2013 - Smelled like beets, leather, tobacco, and some red fruits, but this was clearly veering towards "mature burgundy" notes on the nose. Definitely showing it's age, although still very fresh. Color is starting to get some brick tones and I doubt this will go >5 more years, but nonetheless very good for a 12 year old OR pinot noir. Mouthfeel was great, and the finish was decent. depth and power were not there however on the palate, which might mean it's getting over the hill?
