Thursday, March 10, 2016 - A Ridge Lytton Spring Vertical and a few others (our home): To me this drank the closest to peak. Its about as good as it is going to get. That is pretty good, but a step behind most with not much chance to improve. Ruby/purple in color. The nose has black cherries and dust. Great texture. Black cherry fruit. Decent acidity. Nice finish. Some complexity but not a lot.

8/12/2016 1:37:00 PM - I found your vertical notes very interesting thanks. I got a case of the 2006 on a friend's recommendation but the first couple of bottles I had 4 or 5 years ago were disappointing. I had another last Christmas and it was much improved, as was the bottle I've just opened tonight. So I think your suggestion of a decade to be around its peak is a pretty good call!
