This had very pure fruit, but it was also somewhat subdued and not on full display. Quite tannic and chewy, and almost a little leathery too. Drinking this just before the Ducs, it entirely wipes out any semblance of flavour of the latter wine. Despite having anecdotal evidence that this was drinking very well, this bottle was more about long term potential than anything.
