Thursday, October 28, 2010 - Decanted 8+ hours, then rebottled and opened at restaurant 2 hours later. Tasted blind with 10 other Syrah's & Shiraz's. This wine came in #3 out of 11. Blackberry is the predominant part of the nose. Still slightly tight, even after this long decant. Give it time, or a frind who drank it last week after just a 1 hour decant said that time it was great. He thought I decanted too long and the wine shutdown after that many hours. I'll have to drink another one with a shortened decant time to see if that's true.
