Monday, December 20, 2010 - Killed off two bottle of SQN Raven Syrah over a L O N G dinner event at Mortons in Jacksonville. Other wines included a 1999 Quilceda Creek (WOTN - 99) a 1990 N Potel Montrachet (long decant - good, not great), a1985 Hermitage (90+). The SQN was very drinkable after a 45 minute decant, great dark ruby color, exceptional nose, solid legs. Blackberry oil gave way to extracted purity of dark grapes and walking barefooted on the summer breezes in the hills near Cambria. My last 2 bottles.... perhaps readers who feel sorry for this poor wino who have an extra case around would part with a couple of bottles? Ah... I thought not....
