Sunday, June 19, 2011 - This continues to improve. I have a strong bias for Chateauneuf-du-Pape when it comes to Grenache, but this is a beautiful wine. When first opened it had some of the overripe, grilled plum elements that tend to turn me off, bit with air it quickly settled and moved into more of a cherry and white pepper direction. Fresh, red-fruited, bright, with nice acidity. So delicious I considered popping a second bottle as the first ran dry...
