Saturday, September 24, 2011 - This is a pinot noir that compares to Burgundy the way an Australian Shiraz compares back to the Northern Rhone. It works a lot better with Shiraz/Syrah. This wine is cloudy and dark and sweet. Too sweet. Ripe and juicy plum. Just doesn't seem to sit right on a pinot.
