Thursday, November 29, 2007 - Garagiste Treasure Hunt (Chicago, IL): Alive, kicking and drinking phenomenally well. Nose has candied blackberry fruit, mint, spices and toasty oak accents. Rich, full fruit is matched by firm tannin that comes out on the midpalate. Well balanced with perky acidity. Full-flavored long finish. Delicious. This wine is holding up excellently. Seems to have at least a few good drinking years left.
