Saturday, October 22, 2011 - A little yellowing at the rim. Deep dark garnet body. Dusty and earthy on the nose, along with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, maybe some cedar, vanillin. Flavors of the same fruits and vanillin. A nice soft feel in the mouth, except for a tad of astringency on the tongue. A medium finish. Paired nicely with left over tri-tip. Score 90-91.
