Monday, April 11, 2016 - Almost purple. Cigar box, leather and blackberry nose. When first opened it was all cherry juice. After one to two hours it developed more complexity and opened up more with additionsl savory and dark fruit flavors. Does not taste like an eleven year old wine. Went well with Split Pea soup and ham.
