Monday, May 30, 2016 - Dense, ripe fruit. Plenty of American oak vanilla. The sweetness makes it only slightly off balance. Tannins tease with astringency. The color is almost black with very little fading out to the rim. Full bodied. The alcohol was a bit hot for the first 30 minutes but blew off. Nice wine, but nothing special going on here.
