Saturday, September 2, 2023 - Old fashioned oaky Meursault. Good bottles provide plenty of tertiary without the oxidation. Oak dominates with lots of pear, honey and white flowers. Palate dominated by the toasted wood and butter texture. Very ripe and the acid isn’t very high (although sharpness suggests it should be). Some prominent alcohol. Recent bottles have been the best and I would drink now to 2025, recorked bottles aren’t holding well. Works well with simple fish and white meat dishes. 92pts
