Monday, July 13, 2009 - The 2004 reserve had a dark purple core with no noticeable lightening at the rim. After 3 hours of decanting, the wine showed aromas of plum, blackcurrant, cedar wood and slight spiciness. On the palate, the wine was full-bodied, nicely balanced with fresh acidity and sweet tannin. Unfortunately, the finish was rather short. I think that the wine is now ready and would drink well for 5 years.
