Thursday, August 29, 2013 - A wonderful wine! The 2007 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon is sheer power combined with elegance and structure. The palate offers up an abundance of lovely fruit adjoined by chalk, subtle led pencil and nicely integrated oak. The palate is full bodied and perfectly balanced. Acidity, oak, tannins and fruit are all combined into a harmonious whole. There is a beautiful texture to be found, but the overall impression is that of a wine which is fully open and drinks perfectly. However, you will have to wait a few more years to see signs of aging - the 2007 Forman is still to be considered as young. Further to this, it seems as though Ric Forman has said a cordial good bye to Mr Brett. Compared to a 2001 Forman tasted a while ago, this effort is perfectly clean with very few signs of brett. The gauze bandage is gone!
