92 Points

Tuesday, October 5, 2010 - Nicely drinkable with a few hours of air right now. For my money, this wine is pretty much perfectly poised between traditional and modern; it tastes like Sangiovese but has a bit of extra black-fruited extraction and savvy tannin management to give it a class and depth beyond a humble wicker-basket bistro quaffer. Chalky, food-friendly with its ample acidity, long and light again, with some blark cherry sweetness to balance the astringency. Again, better in 5-to-10, but excellent right now. 92 pts today, good upside.
