Monday, May 23, 2011 - Decanted about an hour. A little bit on the lighter side of a ruby red. Cherries, raspberries, forest floor, minerals, smoke, and a distinct floral note on the nose. Medium body at best with soft, ripe tannins and very nice acidity. Light and zippy fruit on the palate with the minerals and forest. Finish is fairly long with just a bit of an herbal note in the background to add some complexity. A nice, fruity but not sappy style of pinot. Perfect for a nice dinner on the deck.
