Tuesday, March 22, 2022 - My second (and last) bottle of this. 2 1/2 years has further improved this wine. Still deep, dark ruby with garnet rim. Wonderful, complex nose of violets, plums, beef, minerals with some delicate vanilla oak. The iodine note is much less in this bottle. Long and broad on the palate with lingering finish that still has some tannic grip. But the tannins are less bitter now. Flavors echo the nose. This wine is so balanced and elegant. No heat or heaviness at all. Wonderful to drink right now so no point in waiting any longer on this one.
