Monday, June 15, 2009 - Dark ruby.Austere nose of red fruits, earthy note and coffee. Maybe some decanting would have helped. The mouth is medium body with an hollow middle-palate. The same red fruits are now accompanied with species and the presence of wood. The tannins are still imposing and dried. Medium finish with the acidity helping to disguise the general drieness of the tannins. Although it will never be a great wine, i'm sure that with a couple of years in bottle it will loose the present rusticity and be more pleasant to drink.
