Friday, March 23, 2018 - Brick red, showing some age at the rim, with good legs. On the nose, blackberry, cherry, wet earth, grape jollyrancher, a little smokey, light florals, arugula. It took about 5 hours for the nose to develop, and its pretty pleasant. Tart blackberry, black cherry-turn-cranberry, rhubarb tart, tobacco. Mid palate feels like a smooth sandpaper of tannin, light grip with medium (-) acidity. The finish is all the same, with the tannins leading the way to a shorter than I'd like finish. Had it without food, might have been better with.
