Tuesday, August 7, 2007 - Good clear dark cherry color. Fine Burgundian-style nose of earthy cherries and bacon. Quite smooth and elegant and classically lean with a good kick of charred cherry fruit, bacon fat and allspice on the long, rich finish. In general, I've been disappointed with many vintages of this wine but the '02 seems like the real deal. Drinking well now.
