Saturday, December 4, 2010 - Blind tasted over dinner at Beddington's in Amsterdam. Nose was somewhat closed, young, tannic, a real mouthful. Some hint of licorice. Dense, and not balanced at this point. Not a typical 2000 St. Julien in my mind as it lacked the openess and balance I would have expected. Perhaps either much too young, or needing more time to open up out of the cold cellar, or both.
