Sunday, March 18, 2007 - Drank with nephew ATBridge with grilled burgers (first cookout after a brutal winter). Decanted and drank immediately (couldn't wait!). Dark purple color. Expectedly still fairly tannic, but wonderful blackberry, tobacco, earth nose, with a classic Bordeaux palate -- cassis, cedar, graphite. Despite the high tannins, the fruit really came through. A big, not very austere wine. Young but enjoyable now and will only get better and better.
