Tuesday, May 1, 2012 - Non-blind. Small glass at tasting. Decanted for 5 hrs.
Almost black wine.
Rich, concentrated nose that blew me away. Anise seed, licorice, mint and leather with clarity and strength.
On the palate it is full bodied. A superbly balanced wine with everything in place. Attack is with mouth watering acids, mid palate picks up steam as the myriad tastes are released. Sucking in air is like a stroll in a beautiful park. The end palate explodes with everything from the nose intertwined with timid gushes of medium fine tannins and red berries galore. Ahh! The racing acids! Aah! The length! Aah! The complexity! Ahh! The personality!

* Boy do I feel lucky to re-have this wonderful juice so near in time from last btl :-)
A truly unique wine that I will look forward to forevermore. Gives me goose bumps just thinking of this one in 5 years' time...
