Sunday, October 14, 2012 - I'm not sure what wine the previous reviewers were drinking but its not the same as mine. I've had this wine in my cellar since 1998 and while mature it is by no means past it's prime. It is a medium bodied rather feminine '80's style Cali cab of Bordeaux lineage. Nose has earth, plum, blackberry and a hint of vanilla. It has nice viscosity, long slow legs and soft velvety mouthfeel. Flavors include plum, tea, leather and a little currant. Decanted and drunk over the succeeding 2-4 hours, I find it luscious and right in my wheelhouse. Perfect with grilled steaks and truffled baked potatoes. Modern Cali Fruit bomb cab lovers will not like this wine but I find it very appealing. Wish I had more!
