David's comments about the wine: more earthy than fruity, but smooth across my palate; the wine remained balanced through the bottle. Jeff's comments: Ditto, and I would add that the dark cherry and black currant was deeper than I expected in a Pinot. Love, love, love this wine -- and much of that has to do with the people who made it and the people with whom I shared this bottle.
