Sunday, December 4, 2016 - Popped & poured last nite with the Marks at home. Generous nose of black fruit & dirt. Dark purple in color. Soft & subtle, still showing plenty of ripe black fruit--blackberries & plums. Tannins mostly resolved, some earth, some forest floor & tobacco notes. Lots of sediment. The wine has held up far better than I would've imagined. Very enjoyable.
