Wednesday, August 4, 2004 - Summer of Vouvray: 100% Chenin Blanc. Spicy nose with definite barnyard. When RD mentioned the diaper thing I said I could detect it but I did not think it was anything worse than most Barnyard or brett nuances and it did not carry over into the wine. In fact I found the wine better than I expected after smelling it. Ripe with asian spice and tropical fruit notes without any heat or heaviness. 86-87 points.
