Sunday, September 20, 2009 - Dull crimson in color. Lavender, lilac, and spring flowers on the nose. A little plum, spice box and licorice on the palate, with earthiness that is comforting. Round tannins for the age that will further soften over the next few years. Really enjoyable; I think some of the nuance of the flavors might have been lost when accompanied with food.
