Saturday, November 13, 2010 - Popped and poured. Over several hours in the glass the nose finally took shape, with spicy currants, cherry, and touch of tar. Deep, complex palate, very polished and high toned, but with enough a a acidity to keep from being heavy. Fine barely noticible tannin. Lots of ripe red and darkfruit flavors leading onto a lengthy, mildly hot finish, of earth and complex spice. This really needs a few years to come together, but interesting now.
