95 Points

Thursday, December 16, 2010 - This is such a focused and mineral driven wine. It has great aromas that are sweet and subtle red fruits; I used "lavendar" as a descriptor in the past and I still think it fits with the smell as well as with the flavor of the wine. On the palate is cherry along with some floral components that evolves into a nice meaty flavor that is somehow restrained. I can't imagine a more balanced wine at this stage in development. I have little experience with aged wine, but I'm leaving 5 points on the score in case this one actually improves with age.

Consistent with earlier notes.

Consumed with appetizers at The Strip Club steakhouse.
