Monday, July 2, 2012 - Blind Tasting 2009 & 2010 Cotes du Rhone (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Apple cider nose that improved with air to show a bit of fresh apple fruit. Medium bodied with nice medium acidity. Bruised apple and pear fruit on the palate. Interesting juxtaposition of slightly oxidized fruit, an oily texture and bright acidity. Hint of citrus pith through the finish.
