Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - "There's a lot of fish at Montrose Harbor" (Chicago, IL): This was another solid bottle of 1984 cabernet -- stylistically it's a bit lighter and a bit more green than the others, but overall the fruit profile here is brighter and lighter, and there is less of a tannic backbone here. Good acidity, with a mix of red and black fruit. Quite approachable now, this was probably the most ready of the four 1984s we had tonight.
