Wednesday, May 22, 2013 - Opened in honor of Stephanie's 21st birthday and gently decanted off its sediment. Ready to go right out of the bottle, with that lovely violet/floral note that I find in Forman's cabs. Along with the violets, there were cherry, tobacco, black currant and cedar notes. Well-balanced with integrated tannins. Flavors of black cherry, dark fruit cigar box and florals. Long, balanced finish. Beautiful. Should hold a while, though likely not improve- at peak in my opinion, with the perfect balance of fruit and secondary qualities. Drink now-2015.
