Thursday, April 26, 2012 - I am not that generous with points usually, but this was flat out terrific. Cannot say much about bottle variation since this is the first of six bottles. Intense nose of dark fruits, glycerin, tar, liquorice. Some spices like cloves and nutmeg, too. Mid to almost heavy weight mouthfeel, massive tannins, vibrant acidity even. A little dry at the end maybe. A great wine that still seems young, I reckon this has at least another good ten years of great drinking ahead.
