93 Points

Tuesday, June 25, 2013 - Dark colored on the eye with violet hues on the edge, very concentrated and dense on the nose showing dark cherries, blackberries, plums, cassis, licorice, sweet tobacco, dried flowers, and exotic spices. Smooth entry on the palate showing plums, blackberries, raspberries with some dark chocolate that extends to the midpalate. The finish is medium to long length, it shows more dark fruits, sweet vanilla, chewy tannins, and baking spices. A concentrated wine that still seems tightly coiled, however the underlying material is quite impressive.
