Saturday, September 18, 2010 - Another Round of 2007 Chateauneufs-The More I Taste, The Less I Like (Beltramo's, Menlo Park): Light ruby. Ah, finally some brett funk along with mixed garrigue aromas. Not so squeaky clean like most of the other wines. Anise, black fruit core and not sweet. No question that this is fragrant, complex, and has character, but the funk jarringly sticks out and the amount of brett dissuades me from buying and cellaring this for fear of it exploding over time.
