Monday, March 25, 2013 - Wow. Not super giving on the nose, just kinda earthy (though I do get hints of Asian red-bean (azuki) paste which is pretty darn cool), but BAM on the palate there's just a beautiful balance of earth and fruit. Super intense, grip, nice acid, approachable tannins. The fruit really shows on the medium finish, which could be longer, but is fine as is, especially with just a pinch of minerality at the end. Fantastic for the price though, and showing surprisingly well right now. Popped and poured pretty well too.
