Friday, January 15, 2016 - Color almost bluish purple. Not the most giving nose, even after a couple of hours in glass. But some violet and bramble there. Palate has some blood/meat flavor to it, with astringent raspberry tones. Very tasty stuff. Still, a fair amount of heat on the finish; took this down in my view. Drinking fine now.
