Wednesday, January 24, 2018 - Dark but not opaque, and at 12 years old, has a sizeable ring of lighter red around rim of the glass. However, there is no oxidized taste in the smell or mouth. Instead, the wine has gotten considerably more elegant and integrated than when young, with rounded acidity and tannin. The fruit has evolved away from rich black cherry to a leaner red cherry and pomegranate. Will accelerate drinking up the remaining bottles.
