Saturday, January 2, 2010 - Opened 2 hours but not decanted. Cherry, leather and some earth on the nose. Tart cherry coats the palate, but has layers of complexity wtih leather, tobacco, some earth and spice. Medium body, with medium+ acidity, really well balanced. Food friendly, but was good on its own after opening up over the course of the night. This is a great single vineyard Barbera for the price, and I regret not buying more.
