Sunday, February 11, 2024 - After one tainted bottle, popped another which was simply terrific. Very cool red berry, herbal nose. The wine is medium to full bodied, concentrated, silky with red fruit, licorice, smoked meats, herbs and spice coming through. This has worn off its baby fat and there is no trace of heat despite the high alcohol levels. 2007 is interesting vintage where there are some terrific wines, and some that are really overcooked. This falls into the former.
