Saturday, March 8, 2014 - This is developing nicely. Poured into decanter and started drinking. Dark ruby with translucent rim. Earthy nose still with a bit of oak, medium body with mainly red and some dark fruit, floral notes. Initially a bit rough on the mid palate but softens nicely with a bit of air. Elegant, medium finish.
Style-wise a middle of the road BdM (not a modern, international style but also not entirely traditional) which is drinking very well now with a 30 min decant, might still improve a bit with 1 or 2 years.
