Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - Wow. was this was a pleasant surprise. Nice color, no serious bicking noted.. Opened for about 15-20 minutes before drinking. Agreed with all the previous TNs on CT that this had lots of life in it.. very much kicking from the opening on.. It did open up some though after about 45 minutes. Nice balance of fruit on nose with earthiness, red and darker fruits noted.. a little peppery with some leather noted on the mid palate.. The tannis were there but very fine, with a nice velety mouthfeel. Finish was lengthy. A great style of wine.. We were able to share with the Som and our servers too.. Good appreciation of this bottle... The sediment was there but not more than expected.. All in all this was a very fun and enjoyeable bottle.. Hail to 1982...
