Saturday, August 8, 2015 - Pre-National Day 2015 (Pine Close): Tasted blind. Pop and pour and drank over 2 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of earth, red plums, slight licorice, and soy sauce. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, grippy medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of red plums, dark red cherries, earth, licorice, slight tea leaves. Long finish.
Very good quality considering the poor vintage. Started off well but declined in the 2nd hour. Drink up now.
