Thursday, October 29, 2020 - Amane. My bottle, and while blown out of the water by the Rayas, this was actually quite good for a supposed off vintage. Initially there was quite a bit of menthol on the nose and finish, but then this subsides to a lot of secondary CdP notes with good fruit left and enough tannins to suggest this is at peak. No more than a B+ wine, and clearly lacking the power to stand up next to the Rayas (or the massive Rousseau!), but very pretty, especially with the curious menthol note that never quite went away. Drink up.
