Wednesday, March 26, 2014 - Sadly, this particular bottle had none of the bacon notes and was a bit muted compared to previous bottles. It was a fresh delivery direct from the winery, and may have been suffering from travel shock? Whatever the reason, it was not nearly as good as I was expecting. Just a simple, balanced Syrah. I look forward to the next one.

3/30/2014 5:06:00 PM - Did you decant? A recent tasting of the 06 Bacon Fat Kimberly's didn't begin to hit its stride until 2 hours of air.
